1- The Temple of Artemis is also known as the Temple of Diana. The temple dedicated to the goddess Artemis was completed in Ephesus in 550 BC. The temple was built entirely of marble. Today, only one or two pieces of marble remain from the temple, which is considered one of the seven wonders of the world.
2- Ephesus (Turkish: Efes) was an ancient Greek city on the coast of Ionia, three kilometres southwest of present-day Selçuk in İzmir Province, Turkey. Ephesos was one of the seven churches of Asia that are cited in the Book of Revelation.
3- The House of Virgin Mary is a Catholic and Muslim sanctuary located in Bülbüldağı, around Ephesus. It is 7 km from Selcuk. The house was discovered following the reported dreams of Anne Catherine Emmerich, a Catholic nun in the 19th century. His visions were collected after his death in Clemens Brentano's book
4- Isa Bey Mosque is located in the Selcuk district of Izmir, between the Temple of Artemis and the Saint Jean Church. It was built by Aydınoğlu İsa Bey in 1375. Architect Şamlı Ali's work. Isa Bey Mosque is one of the oldest and most spectacular works of Turkish architecture in the Anatolian Principalities period.
5- The Great Ephesus Antique Theatre was constructed in the Hellenistic period but remodelled many times in the Roman period. The main diffrence between a Hellenistic Theater and a Roman Theater is that the Hellenistic ones are leaning on a hill. It is the Romans who invented free standing huge walls. It took 60 years to complete. It is the largest theater in the Asia Minor with accomodation for 25.000 people; 24.000 seats and 1000 standing places. It was originally two-storied and was heightened by one storey at a later date. Served not only for dramatic performances, but also for demonstations of a social, political, economic, religious nature and for gladiator games.
6- Celsus Library is a remnant of a library located in Ephesus, Selcuk, Izmir. It is thought to have hosted about 14,000 books at the time.
